Article number: BXSSPSW-XXL Our medium-length softshell-parka protects against every possiple wind and weather. The parka is made entirely of a three-layer laminate, the outer layer providing physical protection for the underlying membrane-layer, which in turn is applied to the insulating fleece lining. The fabric thus is lightweight, elastic and totally windproof, and with a hydrostatic head of 2500mm also highly water resistant. Nevertheless, the jacket is breathable (MVP 5000g/qm/h) and can be vented through the additional armpit-zippers. The jacket sports a total of seven pockets: Two napoleon-style chest-pockets for documents and small pieces of equipment, two side-pockets with fleece lining, two upper-sleeve pockets with pleat and Velcro for insignia and a large back pocket, which doubles for ventilation if empty and open. All pockets are closed with covered zippers from YKK. The high-closable hood has a reinforced shield, which, in conjunction with the design, offers good protection with excellent visibility. On both sides of the parka, two zippers provide more ventilation options, also they alow quick access to equipment worn underneath. Against inadvertent opening the zippers are backed by strong press studs. The parka is adjustable by three cords in the hem and one at the waist, the cuffs are regulated by wide Velcro cuffs. We recommend to wash the parka at 30°C without fabric softener and a reduced amount of detergent, in order to maintain the water-repellent properties.
